Overview: The RPM Front Bumper and Skid Plate for the ARRMA Kraton 6S has undergone an update to ensure compatibility with all current versions, including the V5 and EXB editions, as well as older models. The differential clearance area has been enlarged to accommodate the larger differential hump present on the V5 version. In addition, RPM now includes a hinge pin retainer plate, eliminating the need for any extra parts to use the RPM front bumper. Similar to the previous model, the Kraton 6S Front Bumper is designed to provide essential impact absorption for the front of the Kraton. This bumper effectively minimizes impact forces transferred to the chassis. The two-piece design incorporates a 4mm thick skid plate with 1.5mm skid ribs, extending over 1-1/2” (38mm) in front of the chassis to shield the costly aluminum chassis from skid and impact damage. Moreover, RPM has added a large, 3/8” x 1/2" x 6-3/4” (9.5mm x 12.7mm x 171.5mm) curved oval bumper on top to safeguard the body as well. Each RPM Front Bumper and Skid Plate is manufactured in black using RPM’s exclusive blend of engineering grade nylons, ensuring unparalleled strength and durability. All RPM molded products are proudly made in the USA and come with a limited lifetime warranty against breakage.
Tech Notes: The RPM Front Bumper and Skid Plate is specifically engineered for use with the ARRMA Kraton V5 and EXB models, but is also compatible with most ARRMA vehicles (V5 and older) equipped with stock gearbox case set #AR310854 or #AR310427, as well as any Durango vehicle with stock gearbox case set #TD210046. However, clearance for the body may not be guaranteed with other ARRMA / Durango vehicles not mentioned here, potentially requiring some body trimming to accommodate the bumper. The RPM81812 will be the replacement for the RPM81472.
